Rob is currently working with Ngati Whatua Orakei, Whai Maia on a food, wellness, weavers and ancestors garden on the Ngati Whatua land at Pourewa.
This garden will in effect be an ethnobotanic garden that reflects the tikanga and Matauranga Māori of Ngati Whatua Orakei. The garden is being managed according to Hua Parakore principles which in essence includes regenerative agriculture, and organic gardening principles.
Rob has had a long-distinguished career in public land management. He has designed this unique garden landscape to interpret both tikanga and matauranga Māori in a public park setting under the ownership of Ngati Whatua Orakei. This work led to his completion of a master's in landscape architecture. Rob is a former World President of the International Federation of Parks and the worldwide Liveable Communities Competition
