Cameron Rees has worked in the Audio-Visual field for over twenty years in a varied career that has spanned work in sound, lighting, film and telivision.

In 2016 Cameron joined the National Film and Sound Archive (NFSA) where he developed specialist magnetic format skills as a preservation officer in the Audio Digitisation Team. Cameron then took on the significant role as Project Officer for the Central Australian Aboriginal Men's Audio Project and has been an integral part of managing the Strehlow project. Working closely with Senior Men, Elders and the NFSA Men's Group Cameron managed digitisation of the Strehlow Collections audio recordings in a culturally safe manner, establishing cultural protocols and training the Strehlow Research Centre (SRC) staff. Cameron helped design and implement the Digital Access Studio at the SRC in Alice Springs which was completed in 2023.
