Ben is an economist, environmentalist and social entrepreneur. He completed a Masters in climate change economics in 2006, and has founded several businesses and charities. He worked for 6 years as a senior economist at the New Zealand Treasury leading teams on climate change policy and wellbeing metrics.
Ben launched the Cogo platform in New Zealand in 2011, under the brand ‘Conscious Consumers’. He moved to the UK with his wife and two children in 2018, to launch Cogo with integrations to 40 banks via Open Banking technology. Cogo now partners with banks across the world, including NatWest (UK), ING (Netherlands) and Commbank (AUS). Cogo supports these banks to empower their customers to measure and reduce their carbon footprint. The solution reaches 20million users globally.
