Lotima serves as the Community & Māori Liaison Advisor – Kaitakawaenga at BayTrust, leveraging his educational background that includes a Bachelor of Management Studies and a Diploma in Te Tohu Paetahi from the University of Waikato. With experience working for the Rauawaawa Kaumatua Charitable Trust and the University of Waikato, Lotima brings a valuable range of knowledge and expertise to his role. He oversees Granting functions, community engagement, strategy development, and engagement initiatives targeted towards Māori, Pasifika, and youth.
Beyond his professional commitments, Lotima possesses a deep passion for breaking generational cycles and empowering his community to achieve self-determination. He finds fulfillment in engaging in lively discussions that explore a diverse array of topics, such as philosophies, concepts, and perspectives. Additionally, Lotima actively participates in various groups, including YAG, Te Kāhui Pūmanwa, Pasifika Funders Network, and serves as an observer on the PNZ board. Notably, he currently holds the position of Aotearoa Youth leader for UNESCO NZ.
