Speaker Bio
Gael is a systems change and social innovation leader and practitioner. She has a background in community and social enterprises as well as central and local government. Between 2014 and 2021 she led the Southern Initiative which is the social innovation team nested in Auckland Council. She was on the Peter McKenzie Committee between 2016 and 2021.
For the past two years she was a panel member on the Review of the Future for Local Government that has recommended major change and renewal of the local government system.
Gael is an adjunct fellow of the Griffith University Centre for Systems Innovation in Brisbane and on the Hawaiki Hou advisory group for SportNZ. She is back with PMP supporting the Director Lili Tuioto.
