Of Rongowhakaata whakapapa I inherited an innovative and creative bent- that’s our way! As an independent director for The Salvation Army NZ, Fiji, Tonga & Samoa, and Independent board member of Kids First Kindergartens South Island, these opportunities reflect my commitment to social reform and providing the best possible start for our tamariki. My tūrangawaewae is found in the hearts of our whanau and in running in the beautiful hills and mountains of Otautahi and Aotearoa. I have enjoyed a mixed career switching between corporate/commercial and charitable roles including executive and CEO functions, governance appointments, being business manager for The Canterbury Community Trust (Rata Foundation), and currently Executive Director of Community Foundations of New Zealand.
