Marama Tākao is of Te Āti Awa, Ngāti Rārua, Ngāi Tūhoe, Ngāti Tama, Ngāti Toa Rangatira, Ngāi Tahu descent, and lives in Ōtaki near her whānau and mokopuna. Marama is the Pou Ārahi at the J R McKenzie Trust and is honoured to be in a position that provides the opportunity to see the extraordinary initiatives and mahi being achieved by rōpū Māori in Aotearoa.
