Uniting for change: Environmental sustainability within te Ao Māori and the arts
Mike and Hinekaa, a husband-and-wife duo and members of the Climate Change Iwi Leaders Group (CCILG), are passionate advocates for environmental sustainability within Te Ao Māori and the arts sector.

Climate risk analysis stands at the intersection of environmental science and decision-making, aiming to understand and quantify the potential impacts of climate change on various sectors and entities. This discipline evaluates both the vulnerability of whanau and hapu to climate variability and the potential hazards posed by climatic phenomena, such as sea level rise, extreme weather events, and changing precipitation patterns, and drought.

As the magnitude and frequency of climate-related hazards escalate, timely and actionable risk assessments become paramount for sustainable planning. Integrating climate risk analysis into business models, policy-making, and infrastructure planning is no longer optional but an imperative for a future-proof world.
