Mike and Hinekaa, a husband-and-wife duo and members of the Climate Change Iwi Leaders Group (CCILG), are passionate advocates for environmental sustainability within Te Ao Māori and the arts sector. Mike's expertise lies in developing Māori community resilience to extreme climatic shifts while Hinekaa has first-hand experience of the devastating effects of climate change on Māori communities as a film maker and climate activist. Together, they will deliver a keynote, highlighting the urgent need to address the challenges posed by climate change and its impact on Māori communities, with a specific focus on environmental sustainability within te Ao Māori and the arts sector.
