Mafi Funaki-Tahifote is one of the few dietitians with an MBA (University of Auckland), let alone being one of the very few Pacific dietitians in Aotearoa. Fluent in her Tongan language and an active member of her community, she brings extensive health sector leadership and governance experience via progressive roles from dietitian to senior leadership into philanthropy.

Mafi shares her working week between health and philanthropy, with four days in her Te Tiriti partnership role as Heads of Foundation and one day, in her dietitian role.

Mafi perseveres and drives for an Aotearoa that uplifts the voices and health and wellbeing of those most vulnerable especially Pacific and Māori communities.
